Harold Halibut Review – Lost In Its Own Deep Sea
Harold Halibut puts you in the shoes of a lowly maintenance worker aboard a spaceship submerged underwater. To the residents aboard the ship, Harold is a rather charming, lovable, even dopey fellow who is endearing for his simplicity and his complacency in doing his job. Harold is tasked with removing graffiti, cleaning, and fixing machines, and when the work is done, his day ends, he goes to sleep, he wakes up–rinse, repeat. That’s the surface of Harold, but tucked out of sight from people’s view, is a character who is deceivingly introspective, often documenting his life through scribbled images in a notepad, or expressing himself through playful theatrics when he’s alone, like singing and performing operatically while mopping up a filter system. This is a side of the character only …
Iesabel Review
Unless I really luck out at a thrift store, I can’t get Diablo III for $15. But that amount of spare change does get me Iesabel, a terribly named and somewhat flawed knockoff originally released for iOS and Android that still pushes a fair number of the right buttons when it comes to clickfesty role-playing. As irksome as its story issues and numerous bugs are, the core design hits that hard-to-find balance between killing monsters and gearing up with eternally improving loot drops. Furthermore, the zippy level progression makes you feel like you’re accomplishing something more than just pounding on a mouse for hours on end.
The plot is unintelligible in both the single-player and co-op multiplay…
Knack 2 Review
PlayStation 4 launch game Knack was most memorable for its impressive use of particles; it used lots of tiny floating cubes, spheres, and pyramids to make up its main character. But beyond that, it was a throwback to PlayStation 2-era of linear 3D action games. As it turns out, not a lot has changed in the sequel, but as far as cooperative-centric action games go, Knack 2 ends up being a more enjoyable romp than the original.
Several years have passed since the events of the previous game, where the titular Knack and his friends stopped a rampaging goblin army from overtaking civilization. Knack 2 starts right in the midst of a fresh attack on the city of Newhaven, and over the course of 15 multi-stage chapters, the story takes some odd twists and turns for a game that i…
Stray Review – Nine Lives
It’s rare for a game to offer a wholly new perspective for how we can experience a familiar setting, and rarer still for one to so confidently have all of its mechanics designed around it. Stray, an adventure-puzzle game where you play as a cat, manages not only to delight in its presentation but also in the many ways it eschews common puzzle mechanics to focus on the abilities and limitations of its protagonist. It’s a consistently satisfying adventure with a charming story about companionship that rarely misses a beat across its well-paced runtime.
You play as a stray cat that is quickly thrust into an entirely world underneath your own after a mishap that occurs in the opening minutes of the story. Alone in this neon-soaked city that’s beneath a giant, unmoving dome, you quickl…
Official Xbox Red Ring Of Death Poster Is Now For Sale
Xbox is deep into its 20th anniversary celebration, and while Microsoft has given a lot of attention to the highlights of its past, it has also not shied away from its darker moments.
Case in point: this new listing on the Xbox Gear shop for a poster focusing on the Red Ring Of Death, the infamous error display that plagued the Xbox 360 during its eight-year tenure. The print is part of a seven-print series commemorating Power On, the new six-part documentary series that recently debuted on YouTube.
The Red Ring Of Death, for those unaware, was an error display on the front of the Xbox 360 where three of the four lights would blink red instead of all four turning green when powered up. The lights indicated some sort of hardware error that would require th…
Sonic 2's Director Explains Why Casting Tails Was A No-Brainer
With the release of the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, fans have finally been properly introduced to the big-screen version of Mile “Tails” Prower. Sonic’s two-failed fox friend has officially arrived and the two will be getting into all sorts of trouble when the movie hits theaters on April 8.
One of the biggest surprises in recent weeks has been the news that Colleen O’Shaughnessey, who voices Tails in the video games, would be reprising her role in the film. Given that Sonic is voiced by Ben Schwartz and Knuckles, who will also debut in the new film, is voiced by Idris Elba, it seemed like someone knew could certainly be on the way.
That’s not the case, though. Speaking to GameSpot, director Jeff Fowler explained his very good reason…
Shazam 2 Director Reveals How That Wonder Woman Cameo Came To Be
When the first Shazam film hit theaters in 2019, it felt like the turning of a new page for the DC Extended Universe. It was a movie packed full of humor and hijinks, and even a cameo to link it to the rest of the universe–Superman appeared, though we never saw his face and it was not Henry Cavill in the suit. Now, with Shazam: Fury of the Gods in theaters, director David F. Sandberg has taken it a step further by bringing one of the stars of Justice League into the fold.
The inclusion of Wonder Woman in Shazam 2 was spoiled early by Warner Bros. and DC Studios, due to the character being featured in one of the movie’s trailers. Unlike the first Shazam film, though, the actor known for portraying the role actually shows up. That’s right, though a third Wonder …

Scream 6 Release Date Set For March 31, 2023
The upcoming sixth installment in the long-running Scream franchise has been given a release date of March 31, 2023. Deadline was the first to report Paramount’s announcement.
Despite the marked gaps in time the film series endured–the wait for Scream 4 and this year’s release was over a decade each–the creative team behind the current franchise were quick to talk about a planned sixth sequel after the fifth one’s release earlier this year. Executive producer Chad Villella told The Hollywood Reporter in late January, “To make it special, you need to subvert things that have been established as the new rules and play outside of those parameters. Let’s break the rules now that we just re-created. And just go for it. I think you have to really go there.”

Scooby-Doo- The Live-Action Series Is Coming To Netflix
There have been numerous reboots and reinterpretations of Scooby-Doo since Joe Ruby and Ken Spears created the talking dog and his teenage companions for the first animated series in the franchise in 1969. Now, Scooby-Doo: The Live-Action Series is heading to Netflix with a script-to-series order.
Deadline broke the story, and also revealed that the new series will be produced by Greg Berlanti‘s Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg–both of whom executive produced Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop series–created the new take on Scooby and his friends, which is described as “an update of the popular cartoon.”
The original animated series and most of its follow-up shows have revolved around Scooby, his best friend Shaggy Roge…

Hey, Look, Destiny 2's Xur Is No Longer Borderline-Worthless
Rejoice, mysterious-merchant-who-sells-tantalizing-items fans: Destiny 2’s Xur is no longer bugged. After an extended period in which a bug was causing the armor he sold to have stats that made them worthless for many players, Bungie has sorted out the issue, and Xur is again worth paying a visit. The paracausal horse will no doubt be pleased, although a new issue has also emerged.
Xur visits Destiny 2 each weekend to sell a randomized assortment of items, including one Exotic weapon and one piece of Exotic armor for each class. While Exotic weapons are all identical to other copies of themselves, Exotic armor features stat rolls like any other piece of armor. And therein lies one of the primary appeals of Xur’s visits: It’s not only a way to fill out your Exot…
Scarlett Johansson Reflects On Lawsuit With Disney And Says She Doesn't Hold A Grudge
Scarlett Johansson has reflected on her high-profile lawsuit against Disney over the MCU movie Black Widow, saying she does not hold a grudge regarding how it all went down. That’s no surprise, after all, as Johansson remains in business with Disney and is producing more content for the company.
As a refresher, Johansson’s team sued Disney over the company’s decision to release Black Widow through the Disney+ Premier Access program during the COVID-19 pandemic in July 2021. Johansson’s deal with Disney was for the film to be released exclusively in theaters, and when it wasn’t, her lawyers argued she was missing out on potentially millions of dollars in backend compensation. Black Widow was released in theaters alongside its Disney+ debut, but it was not a theatrical-excl…
